Abstract
The aims of this study are to analyze the effect of financial ratio on stock prices. In this research used financial ratio, such as Current Ratio (CR), Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), Return on Asset (ROA), Earning per Share (EPS), and Total Asset Turnover (TATO). This study was taken because in the previous research there are still differences between each other and there are a differences between the result of previous research with existing theory. The sample of this research are listed companies in Consumer Good industry in Indonesia Stock Exchange in the year of 2008-2011. From thirty seven companies, only twenty eight are selected, determination of the sample in this research using purposive sampling based on the availability of financial report and listed in IDX during the study period. The type of data is secondary data, while data analysis method used was multiple linear regression. The results of this study indicate that the CR, DER, ROA, EPS, TATO together provide a significant positive effect on stock prices of listed companies in Consumer Good industry in Indonesia Stock Exchange in the period 2008-2011. The partial effect of ROA and EPS each have a positive and significant effect on stock prices of listed companies in Consumer Good industry in IDX in the year of 2008-2011. However CR and TATO each have a positive and no significant effect while DER have a negative and no significant effect of listed companies in Consumer Good industry in IDX in the year of 2008-2011.
