Abstract
Along with the improvement and development of technology in the era of globalization, the quality of human resources becomes a serious concern. In this case the education plays a very important, ranging from basic education to higher education. Thus, the government made various efforts to encourage and improve the quality of human resources in Indonesia. Therefore, the author examines the factors that influence high school students in choosing Universities in Jakarta. The factors that influence it are motivation, cost college of physical evidence, the reference group an the economic situation in the college selection. The method used is factor analysis, as seen from the results of KMO (Keiser Mayer-Olkin), the total variance explained, and the matrix component. The questionnaire was distributed to 100 respondents made students SMA 60, SMA 67 and each of which reside in the area South and East Jakarta. The results of managerial implications is found that there is a dominant factor, which affect high school students in choosing a college, the college of physical evidence, and cost. The two dominant factors, as advocates influencing high school students in choosing a college that is the motivation, the reference group, and state of the economy.
