Abstract

Banking industry is a fully regulated sector. This fact is motivated by a condition that banks have some important roles in supporting our economic matters. Those roles are as an intermediary institution, giving facilities to support payment activities, and as a media in transmitting Bank Indonesia's monetary policies. The purpose of this research is to discover the financial performance's difference after Bank Indonesia issued PBI No. 6/10/PBI/2004. This research used convesional banks that have been listed since 2001 as the research object. The researcher used descriptive analysis to discover the significancy level of the difference. As a result, after the implementation of PBI No. 6/10/PBI/2004, CAR, ROA, ROE, NIM of banks are unsignificanly increasing: BOPO is unsignficanly decreasing: NPL is significanly decreasing and LDR is significanly increasing.
