Abstract
This study focuses on the application of the method of Material Requirement Planning (MRP) as a way to manage inventory in the PTPN VII (Persero) Business Unit Pematang Kiwah. Methods used to achieve three main goals: (1) to determine whether the implementation of MRP systems can help companies minimize the cost of raw material supply, (2) to determine whether the company can solve the problem or the lack of excess raw materials, (3) To find out whether the implement the MRP system can reduce the investment cost on raw materials. Hasi from this study showed that the MRP system to apply the cost of supply of raw materials PTPN VII (Persero) Act Pematang Kiwah decrease of 18.76% for raw materials from the garden and seinduk decreased 37.03% for raw materials from farmers rubber, which means companies can overcome the problem of raw material excess, and the investment cost is also reduced.
