Abstract

Bank is an intituiton which its main activity is fund raising from society then resolves it with purpose to generate revenue from which. Therefore it is important for bank to maintain public trust because the business activity is relying to the public trust. This research has purpose to prove the effect of Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), Non Performing Loan (NPL), Loan Deposit Ratio (LDR) , Operating Expense/Operating Income (BOPO) and Net Interest Margin (NIM) financial ratio to bank performance which measured by Return On Asset (ROA) basis. The object of this research is the state banks which is owned by government. The data of this research using from Infobank Directory in the period of 2006 – 2010. The number of sample for this research is 4 state banks. Analyze technique to use this research is multiple linie regresion to obtain picture which totally regarding relationship between one variable with other variable. he result of this research shows that Operating Expense/Operating Income (BOPO) has negative significant influence to Return On Asset (ROA) and Net Interest Margin (NIM) has positive influence to Return On Asset on banking firm.
