Abstract

This research is focused in analyze system development life cycle application safe deposit box on PT. Bank Sahabat Sampoerna Jakarta. The purpose of this study to achieve two main objectives: 1) is there any differences between theory and practice of system development life cycle application safe deposit box on Bank Sahabat Sampoerna , 2) to find and analyze advantages and disadvantages in choosing between commercial package and in house system development on developing safe deposit box application at Bank Sahabat Sampoerna The research method used was gap analysis method, which compares between actual performance based on practice with potential performance based on theory in an institution. Accordance with the fact that there was to later be analyzed and interpreted the data and facts obtained so that it can be made a conclusion and suggestion. The results is shown that there is a gap in process system development life cycle which is done by Bank Sahabat Sampoerna with the theory by the book. However this gap does not affect the completeness of this project. Despite the disadvantages, choosing commercial package as developing new system of safe deposit box application is the best way based on calculation of weighted factor matrix Keywords: system development life cycle, in house system development, commercial package, safe deposit box
