Abstract
In the midst of widespread globalization and economic dynamism, the Indonesian banking sector has received considerable attention in research. Understanding the financial dynamics of banking in Indonesia often starts with understanding the general phenomena that affect the sector, such as changes in financial regulations, global market fluctuations, and other macroeconomic factors that affect the financial performance and market valuation of financial institutions. This study focuses on the specific aspects of the relationship between profits and market conditions in the Indonesian banking industry, not only on the financial performance of banks but also how the market assesses the performance and growth potential of financial institutions. Previous research has investigated the factors that influence this relationship and its impact on market performance. However, recent research suggests that our understanding of the relationship between profitability and markets needs to be updated in response to the evolving dynamics in the banking sector. By updating that understanding, this study aims to provide deeper insights for banking industry stakeholders, regulators, and researchers interested in this area. The research aims to use a detailed and modern analytical framework to explore and analyze these relationships and provide valuable insights to the academic and practical literature in the field of banking in Indonesia
