Abstract

This study examines whether stock split announcements contain information content of share split. The purpose of this research is to analyze the influence of share split, company size, cash flow from operation, split factor and earnings growth on stock price changes in Indonesian Stock Exchange. The changes in stock prices proxied by cummulative abnormal return. Population in this research are 67 companies that did stock split in period 2006–2012. I use purposive sample in this studies, the sample are 32 companies for different test and 35 companies for multiple regression as sample and taken by using purposive sampling method. The using of analyzing method is by multiple regression analysis. For examines the influence of the independent variable to dependent variable partially and simultaneously with significant alpha 5%. The results of this study show that share split, company size, cash flow from operation, split factor and earnings growth influence stock price changes simultaneously. But only cash flow from operation that influence stock price changes partially and significant. Company size, share split and earning growth do not influence stock price changes significantly.
