Abstract

Financing as productive assets of Islamic Banks are expected to generate profit with fixed return or profit-loss sharing. Financing can contribute to the realization of profit and profitability of Islamic Banks as also determined by the financing distributed. This research is performed in order to test the influence of the variable equity financing, and debt financing toward Profit Expense Ratio of Islamic Bank in Indonesia for the period 2009-2012. In this research used secondary data from financial reports of banking companies acquired Islamic Bank’s Website and sample selection method used purposive sampling and obtained four Islamic banks are being sampled which are Bank Muamalat Indonesia, Bank Syariah Mandiri, Bank Mega Syariah, and BRI Syariah. Multiple linear regression is used to analyze data with 0,05 level of significance. The results were as follows: (1) the equity financing has significant affect partially to profit expense ratio ; (2) the debt financing hasn’t significant affect partially to profit expense ratio ; and (3) the equity financing and debt financing have significant affect simultaneously to profit expense ratio.
