Covid 19, or corona, was firstly known to infect humans at the end of December 2019 in the city of Wuhan, China. A research published in the international medical journal, The Lancet found that 27 of the first 41 infected people had actually interacted directly with the Hunan marine animal market in Wuhan, and based on the results findings, the sources of the disease came from food consumed. Further, it has given an impact on various sectors of life in several countries in the world, one of which is on the consumption of halal food and beverages. This study aims to identify and analyse the effect of literacy in halal food and beverages after the co-19 Pandemic. In this study the author used a descriptive qualitative research method that aims to look at the factors that influence the need for literacy of post-covid-19 halal food and beverages. Sources of data come from various media information, phenomena, and from the Indonesian Central Statistics Agency (BPS). The results obtained showed that Indonesia is the 4th largest importer of halal food in the world, and it is shown in the contribution of food and beverages which is quite high in GDP in 2014-2018. After the covid-19 pandemic, there were four factors that affected the literacy of halal food and beverage namely, firstly: preventive and promotive education. Secondly, an increase in demand for halal food and drinks. Thirdly, the importance of consuming healthy and hygienic foods and drinks. lastly, maintaining hygiene by washing hands so that the food consumed is nutritious and brings good for the health of the human body to avoid Covid-19
