Abstract

There is a need for companies to have a cost-effective, speedy and convenient system to meet their personnel selection needs in highly competitive environment. These days, one way of doing so is via electronic recruitment (e-recruitment), a method of attracting job candidates via the internet. Unstable unemployment from year to year in Indonesia is cause by distance or residence that difficult to reach and job information source only through newspaper advertising, magazine, and brochure. The emergence of electronic recruitment (e-recruitment) as a recruiting tool and the most popular resource is very easy for job seekers to apply for job without spending a lot of money and time, everybody can access the information if they are connecting the internet. The aims of this study is to examine planned behavior on electronic recruitment (e-recruitment) as a driver of an intention to apply for work. In this research used The Theory of Planned Behavior consisting of Attitude, Subjective Norm, and Perceived Behavior Control as variable independent. The sample of this research are Fresh Graduate in Private University in Jakarta. Data collected from 99 respondents from University of Prof. Dr Hamka (UHAMKA), University of Paramadina, and University of Bung Karno (UBK) using purposive sampling, while data analysis method used was multiple linear regression. The result of this study indicate that Perceived Behavioral Control have a positive effect while Attitude and Subjective Norm have no positive effect Intention to Apply for Work.
