Abstract
This study focuses on research of policy and with case study in BRJ branch of Purwokerto. It attempts to achieve three main purposes: (1) to observe the distribution of credit to microfinance, (2) to observe the problems that occurred in microfinance credit distribution, (3) to observe what kind of strategy that BRJ used to occure the problems in microfinance credit distribution. The results of this study stated that BRI branch of Purwokerto has always been practicing prudential banking principles, by prioritizing loan quality above other things. BRI maintained loan quality was also due to the implementation of comprehensive and thorough risk management practices implemented throughout every business line, alongside with a very selective market targeting to be strong enough against macro economy upheavals, and also due to good loan monitoring and supervisions by all credit line officials.
