Abstract
The purposes of this research are to gain evidence whether merger gave positive effect on manufacturing company’s financial performance and to evaluate each of manufacturing sub sector financial performance, in what sub sector did merger create best performance. The population in this research is merged manufacturing companies that listed in IDX. The method of sample selection is purposive sampling method. This research used secondary data that is audited companies’ financial report. The data processing technique in this research is descriptive statistics and paired sample test.The result of this research are they are no evidence that company’s financial performance has improving after merger based on liquidity, activity, solvability, and profitability ratios. Stone, clay, glass and concrete products sub sector became the manufacturing sub sector with the best financial performance after merger.
