Abstract
Kredit Usaha Rakyat (KUR) is a credit guarantee scheme specially designed for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises and Cooperatives in the business of a productive and feasible but not yet bankable that 70% of the loan was guaranteed by the guarantor institution. The purpose of this research is to determine the distribution of KUR developments during the period 2007-2010 and also influence the distribution of KUR is seen fromNon Performing Loan (NPL), interest income and provision for bad and doubtful debt. This research is a case study using descriptive analysis method. The object of this research is Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI) as the largest supplier of KUR. Based on research results revealed that the growth of KUR decreased significantly in 2009. The decrease was attributable to a description of the debtor, Bank Indonesia Checking, interest rates that are not suitable, the lack of involvement of program offices involvedin the socialization of KUR in these areas, difficulties in payment of the claim by the guarantor agencies, the impact of the global crisis as well as additional collateral.The decline is causing an increase in interest income earned was lower than the previous year.Besides these KUR growth declined in tandem with the worsening quality of KUR (high NPL) that cause an increase in provision for bad and doubtful debt to be established Keywords : Kredit Usaha Rakyat (KUR), Non Performing Loan (NPL), interest income, provision for bad and doubtful debt.
