Abstract
The aim of this research is to know whether The Altman Model, The Foster Model, The Springate Model, and The Zmijewski Model can be used to predict the financial distress in textile and garment companies. This research took 6 samples of textile and garment companies which are indicated as financial distress for the year 2006-2009. To have a good comparison, this research took 5 numbers of non financial distress companies which are in the same category. Research method which used is logistic regression. This research found that The Altman Model, The Zmijewski Model, and The Springate Model can be used to predict financial distress, while The Foster Model can not be used to predict the financial distress in textile and garment companies.
