Abstract
The purpose of this study is to analyze and determine the effect of working capital and fixed asset investment to profitability PT. XYZ period 2007-2010. The working capital measured from net working capital (current assets-current liabilities net working capital seen from the cost of fixed assets, and profitability measured by the ROA (return on assets). The method used in this research is verified descriptive with the Net Working Capital and fixed asset as the independent variable and the Return on Asset as the dependent variable. In addition, this study also used multiple linear regression analysis, which is consist to coefficient determination to know the relationship between Net Working Capital and Return on Assets. The hypothesis test used t test and F test with significance level of 5%. The results showed that there was a significant positive effect of working capital against return on the assets (ROA) while fixed asset variables would not have partially significantly to the return on the assets (ROA) and the results of tests simultaneously, variable of working capital and fixed-asset simultaneously have a significant effect on the return on the assets (ROA).
