Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine and analyze whether work stress variables and work climate variables have a significant influence on job satisfaction at PT.PLN Bulungan Jakarta, in addition to study and analyze whether there is a dominant influence between work stress variables or variable work climate on job satisfaction PT. PLN Bulungan Jakarta. The sampling method is to use a non-probability sampling with purposive sampling. Therefore, the population has a known amount, then the sample is 30 persons. Testing performed by the instrument into the validity and reliability testing. Testing requirements analysis conducted with the test of normality and homogeneity tests. While hypothesis testing is done by using the classical assumption test and multiple correlation testing. Based on these results, simultaneous two independent variables (job stress and working climate) contribute to or influence by 58.8% on employee job satisfaction in the distribution of PT. PLN Bulungan Jakarta. The rest of the influence of other factors not examined was 41.2%, which is the influence of other factors beyond the two independent variables studied. While based on the regression equation, it can be interpreted by work stress coefficient 0.219 indicates that each increase of one unit of work stress is predicted to increase employee satisfaction by 21.9% assuming climate change does not work, and the work climate coefficient of 0.468 indicates that any increase in working climate of the unit is expected to increase the job satisfaction of employees by 46.8% unit of work stress assuming unchanged. Based on the regression equation, it can be seen working climate is most dominate against the effects of job satisfaction. Keywords: job stress, work climate, job satisfaction, employee
